Personally, I'm not all that speculative, and I don't really care. All the PS3 does is play games - the Xbox (original at least) could be hacked to do all kinds of awesome stuff, including running Linux.

Why the hell would I pay like $400+ for a console that just plays games? My computer can already do that, and it has the best interface ever imagined by man (mouse+keyboard).
